Charles Lawrence Surfaces secures order for Leicester Football Investment Strategy Project
Charles Lawrence Surfaces have recently secured a contract for
the design and construction of sports facilities throughout
The contract forms part of a £11.2 m project to provide
artificial sports pitches, multi-use games areas and six changing
room complexes, spread over 10 sites.
Each building complex has a minimum of 6 changing rooms, a
bar/function room, offices and storage along with a full M&E
package. The pitches utilise the latest synthetic turf technologies
to provide the best playing surfaces available.
Works commenced on the first site at the start of the year and
further sites have been rolled out since then, with overall
completion scheduled for July 2010.
The projects are being carried out in conjunction with Willmott
Dixon. The £11.2 million investment includes the largest single
grant ever made by the Football Foundation. Further contributions
came from Leicester City Council, NHS Leicester City, Sport England
and the UEFA Jubilee Fund.
Charles Lawrence Surfaces have been leaders in the provision of
artificial sports facilities for over 25 years and are especially
pleased to be able to offer a complete turnkey package of surfaces
and buildings to provide the total sporting solution.
