His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan officially opened the new athletics track at The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst on the 3rd of June 2008.
The King who attended the Academy in the early 1980's made a generous donation to provide Sandhurst with a new I.A.A.F. class 1 facility. Charles Lawrence Surfaces acted as main contractor and Sports Labs were appointed as consultants.

It was an honour to be involved in constructing the new athletics facility at such a prestigious location as The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst" quoted Mr Charles Lawrence.
Charles Lawrence Surfaces were commended by the King during his official inspection of the new facility.
The 6 lane track (8 lane straight) sandwich system was completed on time and within budget and surrounds a synthetic grass hockey pitch also built by Charles Lawrence Surfaces.
