• The client on this project was University of Liverpool located at the University Sports Complex at Mather Avenue, Liverpool
  • This was a refurbishment of an existing synthetic hockey pitch, synthetic turf warm up area and associated works. The pitch was originally constructed in 2004.
  • The area of the pitch was 7360m2 with an 18mm sand dressed carpet installed onto a new in situ laid shock pad.
  • All works were completed in a 6 week timescale.
  • Approximately, the project came to the value of £240,500.00+ VAT.

  • The works included the removal of the of the old sand filled grass and shock pad, both were recycled/re-purposed. Some minor works were undertaken to improve the level tolerances on the existing macadam base and repairs were undertaken on previously damaged under-pitch drainage pipes. A new 15mm in-situ shock pad and a new dual coloured sand dressed synthetic grass hockey surface were installed. The combination of shock pad and surface were installed to meet FIH National Performance Standards
